About David's Throne Ministries

The purpose of this independent online ministry is, "Proclaiming and defending the gospel of Jesus Christ, David's heir, in Word and Spirit."  We do this by publishing articles, videos, and other media that explore various biblical and theological topics, that defend the faith once delivered through apologetics, and that give perspective on being committed to both Word and Power.  By the latter, we mean that we are committed to the 66 books of the Protestant Bible, and to them alone, as the inspired Word of God.  We are committed to sound doctrine and theological clarity.  But we are also committed to seeing the same accompanied by powerful demonstrations of the power of the Holy Spirit. In short, We are conservative evangelicals with a theology that is Continuationist, Predestinarian, and Non-Dispensational.

Our Team

Christian Edmiston, MDiv

 Founder and Executive Director

Christian Edmiston is the founder and Executive Director of David's Throne Ministries. Christian grew up in Florida and loves to call the Sunshine State home. He has been married to his wife Katie since 2007, and together, they have two kids and two dogs. Christian graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2021, and obtained a Master of Divinity, also from Liberty, in 2024. 

Christian is ordained to the gospel ministry through Palmwood Church and the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference, and hopes to commission soon into the United States Air Force Reserve as a Chaplain. Christian's main areas of emphasis and interest are in biblical studies, systematic theology, biblical theology, and church history. Christian has over eight years experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, but now serves as a Bible and Spanish teacher at a private Christian school in his area. 

Joelle Marks

Apologetics/Social Media Director

Joelle Marks is a seasoned apologetics student and educator with over 20 years of dedicated experience in defending and explaining the Christian faith through the physical and observable universe. Her extensive background in apologetics is complemented by her role as a certified public school science teacher.  

Through DTM, She can skillfully integrate this deep understanding of faith and reason into her educational approach.  She is passionate about equipping audiences with the tools to critically evaluate and articulate their beliefs, she is known for her engaging teaching style and her ability to simplify complex topics. Her commitment to fostering thoughtful dialogue and intellectual rigor has inspired countless individuals to explore and affirm their convictions with confidence. It has also brought skeptics to a firm foundation based on logical conclusions that lead back to the authenticity of scripture. 

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in 2017. She started out teaching science in the private sector and now teaches science in Florida. She intends to pursue her master’s degree in apologetics, Lord willing.
